6 Projects Using Reclaimed Materials

In my quest to keep my renovation budget down, I've spent a lot of time looking for free and/or cheap materials. Here's  a compilation post of the projects I'm most proud of.

Click on the photos for more details.

Enjoy!

And here are two more uses for any old doors or windows you might find - a privacy screen and a window that I used acrylic paints to dress up.
Have a great week!

With a small budget, big dreams and a love of a challenge, Anne blogs about renovating and decorating her tiny 1930s bungalow. A self-taught artist and professed power tool lover, she enjoys writing, gardening, photography, nature and diy'ing. And she's never met a dumpster she didn’t want to root through! Come along for the ride!!

  1. You always remind me with such projects about the possibilities to work magic on a limited budget.... perhaps you can say that you CAN do champagne projects on a beer budget!

  2. Anne, I love the green house!!! I'd build one here, but it would probably kill us if we stepped in it, because it is too hot here most of the year! It will probably be around 80 today and in the summer it gets to 113 sometimes more.

I love everything you built. I still have an old door and an old window that I need to finish re-purpose. I'm going to pin your door and window. XOXO

  16. So many wonderful projects you've created by hand, Anne! I am hoping to give my office a facelift this year, and I very much would like to add some open shelves, so I am pinning your kitchen open shelving project for future reference. I will have to check out those Ikea brackets. We have an Ikea about 20 minutes from where we live, and I have yet to visit it! Afraid I might like it too much :)
